The major theme of the film is “The Indians under the British rule”. It obviously focuses on the everyday life of the Indians under the British rule. The film shows how the Indian people fought for their justice by defeating the British people on a game of Cricket. Bhuvan, a risky man leader, together with the villagers, proved the rulers that they could do anything, themes of nationalism, colonialism and reverse colonialism (anything that bends colonialism in favor of the colonized) came out than was healthy.
